Old favourites and new additions

One of the positive things about organizing a long-running event is being able to build on success. And now in our 10th year, Waterdown's Oh Canada Ribfest is bringing back some tried and true favourites, along with some exciting new activities local families are sure to enjoy.

The Family Fun Zone will be running Saturday through Monday - but this year it will be expanded and located at the west end of the park. New activities this year include a kids' obstacle course and a Monday visit by the Hamilton Public Library's bookmobile. The Magical Midways carnival will also be bigger and better than ever.

Also new this year: Air hockey tables will be set up and ready for play and Mission Impossible will be running an escape room (there is an extra charge for the escape room); as well, the Waterdown BIA will be running a photo booth, complete with props and a fun Canada Day-themed cutout.

Of course, the fireworks and Skate Jam are back - but both have been moved to Sunday. And, as always, terrific local bands will be rocking the park all weekend long so check our website and the entertainment schedule to plan your visit.
