Formerly Rusty’s Ribs, it was owned by Rusty and his wife. Rusty’s Ribs, which is also the name of their sauce, was once a family-run rib house from the hills of Kentucky. Rusty’s Ribs won many awards across America, highly credited to their rib rub sauce and award-winning barbecue sauce. When they debuted in Canada, it was with the name Rusty’s Kentucky Smokehouse. The Canadian rights to Kentucky Smokehouse were then bought by George Anast from London, provided that they continue to run the daily operations according to Rusty’s directions. Kentucky Smokehouse still follow Rusty’s meat smoking recipe, along with his rib rub recipe, and their sauce is all imported from Illinois, and is still Rusty’s recipe.
Crazy Canuck Smokers is Canada’s #1 Rib Team. Established in 1995 in Brantford Ontario, Crazy Canuck Smokers offers Authentic Southern BBQ with a Canadian Flare. Ribs Royale BBQ – Ribs Royale BBQ hails from Nevada, USA. We compete in various ribfests across Canada. We are known for our succulent, savoury, fall-off-the-bone, RIBS, CHICKEN & PULLED PORK! Based out of Locust Hill, Ontario (near Markham) Railroad Ribs is in their forth year of competition. They exclusively use fruit woods. Apple, Cherry, and Orange for their barbecue. The ribs are smoked for four hours, sauced and finished on the grill to achieve a caramelized texture. Railroad’s BBQ Master John Kasias says there is really only one secret. “Time, It’s really about time.” Kasias says his favourite cut is side ribs. “Side ribs are better than Baby Backs. They have good marbling, good fat, and a lot more meat on the bones. ”
Fire Island BBQ
Fire Island New York’s claim to fame is they are the “King Of Sauces” They offer Manhattan Mild, New York Honey Garlic, and their famous Empires Fire!!! The southern way to cooking ribs is with hickory wood, Fire Island New York uses Hickory and Applewood giving their ribs a flavourful explosion! Fire Island New York is new to Canada, and in recent years has won several 1st place awards!
