Ready...set...volunteer!

Waterdown's annual Ribfest is a huge success because of our volunteers. From set-up-up to clean up, the four-day event in Memorial Park runs on the hard work of those who donate their time, muscles and talent (mine included).

Our volunteer link is now up and running for those want to register, and there are plenty of adult and youth positions available for community members who want to pitch in and help make our 10th year bigger and better than ever. Some of these include: park set up, recycling crew, BBQ assistant, gate control, the 50/50 kiosk and the beer tent.

Speaking from personal experience, taking part as a volunteer is a fun way to contribute to a great event - you get to meet up with some old friends and make new ones, and teens will get credit toward their 40 hour community service requirement for their high school diploma. If you ask me, it's a win-win-win!
